Spoiler alert, if you wanted to go in to season 3 not knowing anything then you’re going to want to avoid this post! Today, the major Glee panel was held at Comic-Con, and the cast revealed some pretty interesting stuff! Some major news and some minor tidbits. Click at your own risk!
Here are some tidbits we learned from the Glee Comic-Con panel, with our thoughts in parenthesis!
- Cory, Lea and Chris are graduating but it doesn’t mean they are leaving the show. “Absolutely not… Never our intention to do that.”
- Tina is a junior, not a senior.
- Writers are taking their time to carve out longer story arcs for the characters.
- Mercedes will have a new boyfriend. (Peace out Samcedes)
- Mercedes’ new boyfriend is a “big bubba” kind of guy.
- Chord Overstreet decided not to accept a regular role on Glee.
- Coach Beiste will be back.
- Tina and Artie probably won’t be getting back together.
- Mike Chang’s parents will be revealed in season 3.
- Tribute episode will happen during the second half of season 3.
- Klaine will not be breaking up anytime soon. (YES!)
- The new character from The Glee Project will “not really” be Sue’s nemesis.
- Darren is possibly going to Broadway but not leaving Glee.
- Darren’s solo record is not coming any time soon due to Glee and potential Broadway run.
- There was a scene involving Rachel’s Dads in season 1 but it was cut.
- Ian Brennan wants to make Santittany happen. (Brittany and Santana)
- Brittany storyline began as a joke and then became much deeper. (obviously!)
- Chances of Kurt and Rachel in NYC as a spin-off are “not going to happen.” Executive producers thought about it but “leaning against it.”
- Blaine will be developed more this season.
- “Tune in” to find out if Blaine joins New Directions says the producers.
- Darren’s dream role on Broadway is the emcee in Cabaret. (Oh, really Darren?)
- Darren would want to sing a song from Aladin if they did Disney on the show.
- Writers promise that the writing this season will “knock your socks off.”
- Sue is running for Congress. “She doesn’t just wanna end the glee club. She wants to end all glee clubs. She’s running on a No Arts platform.”
