The third Doctor Who clip from series 7’s Western adventure “A Town Called Mercy” has arrived online, as well an introduction to the episode from stars Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.
For the last three days we’ve been treated to another clip from the hotly anticipated cowboy story. Wednesday saw us introduced to The Gunslinger as he terminated a helpless citizen, and yesterday brought the Doctor, Amy and Rory’s arrival in Mercy. Today we’re treated to a hilarious saloon scenes that sees the Doctor struggling with a toothpick and putting on a southern American accent to order a tea “with the bag left in.”
The clip originally aired at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to rapturous applause. The saloon inhabitants’ reaction to the Time lord’s introduction as the Doctor certainly seems unwelcoming at best. Could the citizens of Mercy remember the Doctor, or could there be another healer who has caused the townsfolk trouble in the past? We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out for sure!
The second of today’s Doctor Who treats is an episode introduction from show’s stars Matt Smith(the Doctor), Karen Gillan (Amy), and Arthur Darvill (Rory).
Guest starring Adrian Scarborough and Andrew Brooke alongside series regulars Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and Matt Smith, “A Town Called Mercy” (written by Chris Chibnall) airs this Saturday in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada.
