Excited for the new Avatar and Star Wars lands coming to Disney Parks in the next few years? Here’s when you can visit them.
During an earnings call today, Disney head Bob Iger revealed Walt Disney World’s Avatar Land will be opening May 27, 2017 at Animal Kingdom. For the 14 of you who are actually anticipating an Avatar-themed land, this is exciting news for sure. In news that’s sure to excite a bigger group of people, Iger revealed Walt Disney World’s and Disneyland’s Star Wars lands will be opening in 2019. Specific dates were not offered up (they’re still a long ways away, after all), but both parks are sure to be packed in the first few weeks after they open.
Disneyland’s Star Wars Land will be built at the back of Disneyland, and Disney World’s is being constructed at Hollywood Studios.
The following concept art depicts Star Wars Land at night. Disney says these are the “largest-ever, single-themed land expansions.”
