Several celebrities jumped in on the April Fools’ Day fun today, and we’ve rounded up some of our favorite pranks.
X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer played into rumors of casting Dazzle. Rumors of the female character being cast crop up from time to time when an X-Men film is in the works, so we were happy to see Singer playing into them:
I can finally announce @ladygaga is joining #XMen #DaysofFuturePast as Dazzler. One of my all-time favorite characters. Can’t wait!

Pineapple Express stars Seth Rogen and James Franco released a trailer for an alleged sequel. It is actually a promotion for This Is The End, their apocalypse-comedy.
Netflix released a slew of new recommendation categories on its site which are incredibly specific. Different visitors saw different categories. Below is a sample of them:
Former Star Trek stars William Shatner and George Takei both announced they’ll appear in the new Star Wars films.
Miles Teller, who will play Peter in Divergent, announced he quit the gig:
It was fun while it lasted but sadly Im no longer a part of the #Divergent family. I think you will all approve of the new Peter

Then there were celebrities who fell for pranks like the rest of us. For example, Torchwood’s John Barrowman seemed to believe a West Hollywood Twitter account when they tweeted that the city was considering changing its name to East Beverly Hills:
@wehodaily that is the stupidest thing they could ever want up do is changeWEHO’s name. John Barrowman
