AHS gets another green light at FX, this time for season 7. Let’s start speculating on theme, cast, location, time, and everything else!
Just kidding. AHS is full of twists and shocking turns, but renewal news is not one of them. The seventh installment comes as no surprise given the early success of Roanoke.
If you think coming up with captivating ideas is a full-time job, you may want to try the Ryan Murphy method– take a nap. I’m serious. Speaking with EW, Murphy says, “It comes to me as it always comes to me. I sit up in bed and I say ‘That’s it!’”
Yes, it is actually a bit more complicated than taking a nap, but a nap certainly sounds like a good place to start. Murphy does rely on our nightmares for his success after all.
John Landgraf, the “Mayor of Television” comments, “The sustained success through six installments only proves how intensely the series resonates with fans. AHS confronts our deepest fears with unmatched suspense and style. Each new installment is a cultural event, hotly anticipated for its theme, imagery, cast and twists. We thank the creators and their team, the cast and everyone who has continued to make AHS such an extraordinary series.”
Landgraf is confident in Murphy’s ability to produce a captivating installment. Murphy, meanwhile, is confident that his audience will stick with a series through six episodes.
Murphy continues to hint that a huge twist is coming in AHS: Roanoke. Unfortunately, fans must wait until episode six for the reveal. Right now, Roanoke contains North Carolina coastal lore, docu-style storytelling, and some creepy nurses who wanted to see the elderly suffer.
Season 6 features a few staple cast members including Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates. Wes Bently and Lady Gaga are back for another round, with Evan Peters still skirting around the credits but not on screen yet. Who will turn up for season 7?
AHS: Roanoke chapter 4 airs Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
