Though The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hit theaters only two weeks ago, details are already surfacing about the home entertainment release.

Amazon U.K. has listed a Catching Fire DVD and Blu-ray “Deluxe Edition” set which includes 130 minutes of bonus material plus 45 minutes of bonus content exclusive to the deluxe version.

This unique edition features both Hunger Games films on DVD/Blu-ray as well as Catching Fire’s soundtrack and eight “art cards.”

At this time there are no details about what bonus footage is included in the roughly three hours of material, but we’d suspect behind-the-scenes looks and deleted scenes are likely possibilities.

The Hunger Games hit DVD/Blu-ray five months after its theatrical release, so you should expect Catching Fire to follow a similar release pattern by dropping around late-April 2014.

If special edition sets aren’t your style, a standard release for Catching Fire includes the film in DVD/Blu-ray, Ultraviolet, and still includes the 130 minutes of bonus footage.

Do keep in mind that these are all U.K. versions of the DVD/Blu-ray, so those in America and other countries should wait for more details before pre-ordering any set. Given the popularity of the franchise, some outlets may have special versions of their own with a variety of exclusive material and physical goods.

Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and opened in theaters worldwide in November. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. All stars and some crew members are expected to make appearances on the DVD/Blu-ray to talk about the making of the movie.

Isn’t it a bit too soon to be talking about the DVD sets? The movie just opened 2 weeks ago! 2 weeks! A month hasn’t even passed!

  • Cassie Drake

Tempting, but I’mma gonna wait for the ULTIMATE DIAMOND PLATINUM SUPER MEGA MOCKINGJAY COLLECTOR’S EDITION when all 4 movies are finally said and done xD

    • Amir

Watch it be like 500 $.

      • SpiritWitch120

I’d pay that. If it looks just as good as the Wizards Collection.

        • Amir

True. But I still need the Wizards Collection… :’(

          • SpiritWitch120

Well the price is much lower now than when I was given it as a birthday gift so maybe have a look during Christmas sales? It really is amazing. The only thing that might just top it is the limited edition of Page To Screen which is mindblowing.

If that already-long snorefest Hobbit Part 1 can get over 10 minutes of extended footage, why can’t we get an extended Catching Fire?!?!?!

I hope that Best Buy does another special edition that will match the first one . . . I purchased that one, and there is a TON of empty space in the box . . .

  • Andy

I’ve just got into the Hunger Games, and can’t belive that it took me so long to dip my toes in the series I love it. But either way I’m going to wait till a box set with all 4 movies come out

  • Zack

Note that the Target edition comes with a Divergent sneak peek (and Divergent hits theaters in March), so I doubt that CF will be released in April.
