ABC has released synopses for Scandal season 3, episodes 9 and 10, which preview what’s to come before the show’s extended break.

On Scandal season 3, episode 9, titled “YOLO,” “the team gets closer to the truth, loyalties are tested and relationships are pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, Cyrus has to deal with his own crisis and he realizes that he may have gone too far.” It airs Thursday, December 5.

Meanwhile on episode 10, “A Door Marked Exit,” “now that the truth is out there, things will never be the same and everyone will have to face the consequences of their actions.” It will air Thursday, December 12.

We presume that these two episodes will bring Project Remington to a close after a lengthy investigation by Olivia Pope and Associates. Many revelations have come to light over the past several weeks, including news about Mama Pope, Father Pope, Mellie, and Fitz. Meanwhile, poor Olivia has been stuck trying to accept and handle it all.

Scandal season 3, episode 8 aired last Thursday and was one of the more exciting episodes of the season as we watched Olivia’s mom show her crazy side. Check out our Scandal recap to catch up on the storyline!

Due to Thanksgiving this Thursday, Scandal will take the November 28 time slot off, but return on December 5 for the beginning of their two-part winter finale. Judging by these synopses, things should be left on a high note and we’ll be itching for the mid-season return in 2014.

What do you think is ahead on ‘Scandal’ before the year is out?

No, no, no. Not another dang hiatus. And this one is supposed to last until February, right? I wonder if they are going to have her mother be a permanent character on the show now. You know what, I think that one (or even both) of her parents are going to die. And does anyone else suspect that her mother was a terrorist? I mean, I guess that is the common assumption but I was just wondering what others think and why they would think that. Anyways, with this hiatus, I’m gonna start looking for other things to fill this Scandal void. I’ve already bought one book that was described to be similar to Scandal. It’s entitled A Negotiation of Wounds by Michael Stephenson. It’s good so far and has all the sex, intrigue, twists and turns as the show so I’m hoping that I can read through the rest of it during this extended break.

I do suspect her mother was a terrorist and that’s why she ended up in jail…and the plane blown up. This is getting good…I hate when they take a break…it aint fair.

      • Anthony Rock

I really don’t see the purpose of her mother. She should have remained dead. Scandal seems to be heading for silly melodrama.

Your “common assumption” was also mine…No one goes to that lengths to keep someone away from another, there is also reason the plane got shot down had this discussion with friends and they told me i was thinking too far now look at the course the show has turned…I followed my gut and so it is right

Winter synopses?… But it’s still Fall

It’s funny to see men posting..I don’t hear of any men I know being addicted to this show although it’s universal.

      • Ray Gray

Well the article sort of found me it showed up in my Google now feed however I do watch the show every week with my lady!

Most shows are taking a winter hiatus because of the Winter Olympics. Most shows will be back at the end of February for sweeps, but I think the networks are ending “February Sweeps” in March because of the games.

  • Renee Washington

I know right. I will have to go buy seasons 1 & 2 and try stretching them out over the break.

    • Shelly Shell

If you have Netflix…they are on there for free.. Unless you just want to dvd’s

    • Sienna Scorpio

I think Hulu Plus has both seasons as well.

  • Boodie

Can anyone tell me where I can watch current episodes? The catch is that I live in Mexico and follow Scandal on cable, which is showing re-runs of season 2 and not season 3. There has to be a way around what comes up on my screen when I try to connect to season 3 “live streaming is not possible outside of the US”

    • keem

  • Renee Washington

I’ve been wondering if mama pope is b613… Hmmm possibly

    • sienna scorpio

Wouldn’t it be crazy if she was command before her husband?

  • peekaboo

I am assuming that the show will end this season and that Fitz looses the election or gets killed trying to kill Eli/Rowan who also dies. Fitz and Liv never live the happily ever after because how can you leave a wife that has been raped by your father?

    • Ali91

The show wont end this season! It gets amazing amazing ratings each week and always tops the 18-49 viewership against other competition in the same time slots. The website ‘Geektown’ also confirms that renewal for a Scandal season 4 is extremely likely. Fitz dying is doubtful as Olivia and him are at the very core of the show. And I understand that Mellie was raped by that vile father of his and I really feel for her but that doesn’t mean Fitz should be compelled into staying in a loveless marriage. Mellie shouldn’t settle for second best either (if even that!).

I jus want liv and fitz together get marry n have there family what they always dream of!!!!!!!!!love thos too move n the house fitz built 4 them live happy ever after!!!!!
