FX has released the synopsis for the American Horror Story: Coven season 3 premiere which offers more details on the school the young witches will be attending.

The synopsis for American Horror Story: Coven season 3, episode 1 “B*tchcraft” is:

“A young girl, Zoe, is shattered to discover she possesses a strange genetic affliction tracing back to the dark days of Salem. Zoe is whisked away to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, a mysterious school in New Orleans devoted to safeguarding the few remaining descendants who share this unique bloodline. Harboring a secret agenda, Fiona Goode, the most powerful witch of their generation, returns to town, reigniting old rivalries with the Coven’s deadly enemies, the Voodoo.

Written by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk; directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.”

American Horror Story: Coven will star Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckenridge, Christine Ebersole, Danny Huston and Lily Rabe.

American Horror Story: Coven season 3 premiere will air October 9 at 10 p.m. EST on FX.

    Just hope they do a better job this season….way too many thin story lines that were never followed through. The last three episodes were convoluted with playing ‘catch-up’ to end the season leaving behind story plot and continuity. Such a shame too…it started out so good.
