Pop icon Britney Spears is readying her 2013 album, and on September 16 the first single, titled “Work Bitch,” will be released.

“Work Bitch” will be released worldwide Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m. Eastern on iHeartRadio and local radio stations. The song will be released on iTunes that evening at 12:01 a.m. eastern on Tuesday, September 17.

Spears announced the news via her official Twitter account on Tuesday. Over the past couple of weeks she’s been shooting the music video for the new single and has been seen frequently entering and exiting a dance studio for rehearsals. Today she tweeted that she shot scenes for the video in a desert.

The singer has been using the hashtag “YouBettaWorkB,” suggesting that the line may be a lyric in her new song.

Spears is expected to release a full studio album this November. We presume a release date for her 2013 album will be announced next week to celebrate the single.

Rumors over the past few months have also indicated that Spears will be headlining a new show in Las Vegas, Nevada for an extended run.

All should become more clear in the weeks ahead. While we wait, tell us…

C’mon I dont know y people picture autotune as a disease. It is just a program that makes your voice sound electronic. It’s just done 4 fun and now it is almost a must 2 use in pop music. And it’s the producers that use autotune not the singers so people should complain to the producers but I don’t think they should complain at all. It’s done 4 fun it’s nothin bad.

Actually, Britney and the producers of her new record have commented that they will not be using Autotune on her new record. William Orbit in particular has gone on the record saying that she doesn’t need it and they’re not using it.
