Transformers 4 won’t be hitting theaters until next year, but the new cars which Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots will transform into have been released.
Despite the film missing its previous main character, Sam Witwicky, we now have our first look at some of the cars that the Autobots will transform into in Michael Bay’s Transformers 4. Optimus Prime has received an upgrade of sorts, with a more sleek looking semi, while Bumblebee has seen a downgrade to an earlier Chevy Camaro.
We also see two unknown Autobots, one which is a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, and the other is a C7 Corvette Stingray in venom-green. Check out the first looks below:
We’re somewhat digging the new looks for Optimus Prime, but seeing Bumblebee get a downgrade is a bit interesting, and we’re curious what he’ll actually be doing now that his best-bud Shia Labeouf is no longer a part of the franchise.
What do you think of ‘Transformers 4’s’ new Autobot cars?
A press release seen back in November revealed that Michael Bay will direct the Transformers 4, from a script by Ehren Kruger, who wrote the previous two Transformers installments. We also found out that Mark Wahlberg will star in the film, along with Nicola Peltz, T.J. Miller, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, Jack Reynor, and Kelsey Grammer. They will begin shooting in the spring for an intended release date of June 27, 2014 from Paramount Pictures.
