The Walking Dead’s third season has been a tense squaring off between Rick and The Governor, and things will come to a head this Sunday during the season 3 finale.
So, who’s going to live and who’s going to die? The Governor is obviously someone who will face his demise, but actor David Morrissey (who portrays the evil role) brings up a good point about his character: “If anyone is going to survive, it’s going to be him,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
The entertainment publication asked several of the show’s stars what the finale holds for their characters.
When it comes to Michonne, don’t expect her to go down easy. Says actress Danai Gurira, “She’s never going to go down without a fight. The Governor would be over if Andrea hadn’t walked in and this whole thing would be over.”
Another popular bet concerning who will die is Andrea, who has been in the middle of Rick and The Governor this entire season. “Does Andrea have to die? Absolutely not,” said Laurie Holden. “It’ll be interesting if The Walking Dead goes for a nihilistic ending, that’s a possibility. If there’s a hopeful ending, then it’s not. It depends on the tone they’re going to choose.”
Actor Norman Reedus, who we’re fairly certain won’t die in The Walking Dead season 3 finale, describes the last episode as “a full-blown war.” “We’ve seen fights going on, but not like the finale. The finale is massive.”
And we can’t wait! The Walking Dead season 3 finale airs Sunday, March 31 at 9 PM ET/PT on AMC.
