See the promo for Monday’s episode of How I Met Your Mother, “P.S. I Love You,” in which we glimpse a whole new side of Robin Sparkles!

The promo promises that we’ll see how the Canadian teen sensation Robin Sparkles went from pop princess to queen of darkness! The episode will show us a mockumentary showing Robin’s fall from grace, which will include appearances by a lot of big name Canadian stars.

The episode will feature James Van Der Beek, Jason Priestley, Alan Thicke, Paul Shaffer, Alex Trebek, K.D. Lang, former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page, Rush frontman Geddy Lee, and former Canadian hockey player Luc Robitaille.

The official description for “P.S. I Love You” reads:

Barney uncovers the lost episode of Robin’s “Underneath the Tunes” as Robin Sparkles. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily are concerned that Ted’s new girlfriend is a stalker.

Although this has previously been labeled the final chapter of the Robin Sparkles saga, don’t give up hope for her just yet – showrunners Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have since admitted that they’re not going to close the door on her completely after all!

In other news, How I Met Your Mother has officially been renewed for a ninth season, which CBS has confirmed will be the series’ last. As we are currently halfway through season 8, this gives another season and a half to meet and maybe get to know the mother – when do you think this will happen?

How I Met Your Mother airs Monday night at 8/7c on CBS.

Not soon enough. I like it, but this show is getting old.
