The Twilight Saga can say it’s going out with a bang for both fans and critics alike.

One movie review round up site puts Breaking Dawn – Part 2 as the clear leader of the saga, while another places it at third overall.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 had a clear lead amongst the five films:
- Twilight: 49%
- New Moon: 28%
- Eclipse: 49%
- Breaking Dawn – Part 1: 24%
- Breaking Dawn – Part 2: 55%

On MetaCritic, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 does not top the list but places third:
- Twilight: 56
- New Moon: 44
- Eclipse: 58
- Breaking Dawn – Part 1: 45
- Breaking Dawn – Part 2: 53
(These points are out of a potential 100)

The general consensus we’re hearing amongst fans and critics is that the film is one of the better ones of the Saga. In our review we gave it an A-, calling it the best Twilight film thanks in part to its moving storyline and climactic ending.

    Definitely the best one…by far.

For a while there on rottentomatoes it looked as if BDp2 was going to end up with a not only fresh rating but a really good rating so I thought maybe this one would be worth seeing in cinema. Twilight was hilarious, but New Moon just completely put me of wanting to see the rest of the films on the big screen. I was actually surprised to see it had crept down to rotten considering how positive the first few reviews were.

  • connor

It’s still rotten. All that means is: It’s still a terrible movie, but less so than the others.

Yeah a 55% approval rating and an average score of 5.4, that’s something to be proud of.

You deserve gold! *claps claps claps* I just want to point out that, if you have a GF, make sure she doesn’t see your comment. Otherwise… You’re going to get single soon…

        I’m gay actually

  • Lissy

Guys… have you read the reviews?? Even the good ones are bad. They all say basically the same thing: fans will love it, everyone else will find it ridiculous.

I don’t think a 54% (it’s been lowering all day) is anything to be proud of.

    • Lissy

      It’s 52% now by the way…

      • Sam

Wow… not even one movie has been certified “fresh”. I guess its gonna be nominated for Razzies again this year :-/

  • Azeem

I had a feeling it might have like a 80 or 90 percent rating. But no, it’s still shit!

    yeah 54%, a real bang indeed :D

I just want to see this movie for the apparent “giant troll” at the end.

  • Louis

Well the movie series aren’t the best out there film-wise. But in the fandom, BD2 may be the best yet. Condon did well.
    The fans love it.

  • Vajackster

Man, saying this piece of shit is the best Twilight movie is like picking out the smartest Kardashian. They all suck ass.

    • Tomas

The Twilight Saga is amazing, BD Part 2 was EPIC. If it really is crap, why is it one of the highest grossing movies? Everyone, GO see the movie, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to dislike this one, you’d have to have a shit taste for movies if you dislike Breaking Dawn Part 2
