A new promo for this week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory was released, showcasing a fresh (and potentially frightening) revelation about Sheldon’s suspicious scheduling.

CBS has released a new preview for “The 43 Peculiarity,” which airs this Thursday at 8 p.m. The clip focuses on a mysterious discovery made by Howard and Raj about Sheldon and his quarter-to-the-hour quirk. Check out the promo right here!

We can’t imagine what Sheldon is up to, much less what could make Raj and Howard express their terror in such an, er… emphatic fashion. The possibilities are quite intriguing – and, to be honest, kind of terrifying!

Equally nerve-wracking, though for different reasons, is the plotline this promo didn’t touch on – the romantic unease between Leonard and Penny. Not one but two potential obstacles will maneuver into place for the couple this week: Margo Harshman will return as Sheldon’s attractive assistant Alex, who has previously hinted at interest in Leonard, and Ryan Cartwright will guest star as a community college classmate who hits it off with Penny.

CBS’ official summary says:

Howard and Raj try to get to the bottom of why Sheldon disappears every afternoon at 2:45. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny deal with jealousy in their relationship.

Looking forward, The Big Bang Theory tentatively seems to be taking next week off, but the show will return the following week with “The Parking Spot Escalation”:

When the University reassigns Sheldon’s parking spot to Wolowitz, their fight affects the whole gang.

What peculiarities do you anticipate for Dr. Cooper?
