Tonight, on the first LIVE results show of the season, it was announced that…
Jason Brock, one of L.A. Reid’s Over 25 finalists, was eliminated on The X Factor.

Hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez announced that Brock and Cece Frey received the fewest votes following last night’s performance show. Then, judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears listened to Brock and Frey each perform their “song for survival.” After the judges came to a deadlock, Brock was sent home, based on the number of America’s votes he received. Also tonight, for the first time on any singing competition ever, this week’s individual vote rankings were revealed, from the bottom 12th act to the No. 1 vote-getter.

Earlier in the show, One Direction – the global sensation that rose to fame on the U.K. version of The X Factor – performed “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things.”

Next week, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), The X Factor finalists: Teens – Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Diamond White; Young Adults – CeCe Frey, Jennel Garcia and Paige Thomas; Over 25s – Vino Alan and Tate Stevens; and Groups – Emblem3, Fifth Harmony and Lyric 145 – perform LIVE for America’s votes.

On Thursday, Nov. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), six-time Grammy- winning superstar Taylor Swift will take to The X Factor stage for the first-ever television performance of “State of Grace,” from her blockbuster new album, Red. Then, find out who moves on in the competition and who is sent home, when the results of America’s votes are revealed LIVE.

Note: The above is part of a press release from Fox.

Do you think Brock was the correct contestant to go home tonight?

Sadly he needed to go. I think 5th Harmony or Paige Thomas is next. Britney has the most talented category.

5th harmony is the most talented group though! SOOOO ready for emblem3 to go. i kno they wont, but its been downhill since their 1st audition. when they do their original songs, they sound great. when they do covers, they sound so shouty and out of tune. but theyre cute and will get the vote im sure

I liked him, but the other contestants are better than him. Personally I don’t like Fifth Harmony. I do like CeCe and Lyric 145.

What? But Fifth Harmony is the best!

They all sing really good but I’m personally a bit bored by their performances. They don’t really seem like a girl group, just a bunch of school girls or something.x

I’m not very charmed by Emblem3. They kind of annoy me. I really enjoy 5th Harmony, like alot. I think they are all so vocally talented. However, Carly Rose is insanely talented and so is Diamond. I personally think Arin might be next to go, or Cece. I don’t know what it is, but her live performances have not been good. I feel like she could do so much better. idk. Demi’s acts just haven’t been strong on the stage. i kind of think Demi is having the most trouble with directing her acts. idk. None of them are really connecting for me. In some ways I agree with Simon that Demi is not doing a very good job. She kind of needs to bend her pride a bit and take advice from someone is a little more knowledgeable in the industry…
btw, Khloe really annoys me. I’m trying really hard to not hate her.

Okay I must say I LOVED the way Lyric sang Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! It was a very unexpected song choice and I thought the way they changed it up was fun :) Personally I hope Vino or Carly Rose wins, I love both of their voices.
