The first photo from the American remake of British cult comedy series The Inbetweeners gives us our first glimpse at the sitcom’s characters.
The original show became a cult phenomenon, running for three acclaimed series and a hugely successful movie. Detailing the social and sexual woes of four sixth-formers, The Inbetweeners was lauded for it’s fresh approach to situational comedy – but was also criticised for it’s crude content. The shows’ success meant that a remake was inevitable, and MTV quickly snapped up the rights after their failed Skins remake.
This production still shows Bubba Lewis (Simon), Joey Pollari (Will), Mark L Young (Neil) and Zack Pearlman (Jay) walking through an american suburb, and was unearthed by Digital Spy. Based on first impressions alone, it looks like the remake could be fairly faithful to the original, with Simon’s yellow car door and Will’s iconic briefcase both featuring.
