Another new photo of Matt Smith and new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman has been released!

The second photo was released by the Doctor Who website, following our first official look at the companion on Friday. View it below!

While it’s a bit disappointingly similar to the original, it does allow us to get a better glimpse of the new companion’s bag and The Doctor’s new coat! There’s also that script in Matt’s hand – grab your magnifying glasses, there could be plot details!

Caption competition time! What do you image the actors or characters are saying to each other in this scene? What do you think of the photo?

    “Boy ties are cool.”
    “Aw, hell no.”

I think the red bag is a good idea, it’ll probably become a symbol of her character.
No companion in the revival-era has anything like that.

I am intrigued by the two photos of the new companion. I just really want to know what her story is. I am super excited to see what new sides of The Doctor’s personality she will bring out as well.

In terms of the outfit, it’s cute. I definitely like the bag. I agree with the idea that the bag will become a trademark characteristic of her as a companion. It’s something that hasn’t been seen with any companions since the relaunch.

Will the new companion be the Doctor’s daughter with River?

  • Nitzan

I think The Doctor wanted her to come with him because she was the first person who actually thought bow-ties WERE cool!

Doctor: “I wrote a novel see, it has these marvellous creatures that I’ve met in it; The Ood, The Judoon, the Daleks, its all here. Writing is cool.”   Clara/new companion: “What the hell are you on about you psycho?”
