Rapper Andre 3000 will play Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming movie about the rock legend, All Is By My Side, according to the Irish Film and Television Network.
As IFTN reports, the film will be set in the mid-60s when the Rolling Stone’s Keith Richards discovered Hendrix in a New York club. It is set to begin filming in three weeks in Dublin and Wicklow, Ireland.
Andre 3000, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, had previously starred in films such as Idlewild and Four Brothers.
