‘Game of Thrones’ video: Gethin Anthony reacts to last week’s Renly twist

Game of Thrones pulled another fast one on fans last week, and in a video interview Gethin Anthony discusses the big twist.

I expected Renly to be the first of the competing kings to die but i never expected it to happen so quickly

Renly was one of my favorite characters ever so I was shocked and saddened by his death. Having not read the books I don’t know if he died in it but either way it’s still sad for me.

  Yup, he died in the book exactly as he died in the HBO series. It was just like I imagined it.

I wasn’t that upset when Renly died in the book, but I was very sad to see Gethin Anthony go. I love his Renly more than I did book Renly for some reason.

  I had the same feeling… I was surprised by the way he died in the book but it wasnt a shock as in the series, I loved that Renly!

Yeah I was really sad about him dying. I have however put on a thick skin concerning the show because I know that any character may go at any time.
