Twilight actor Taylor Lautner is in negotiations to join Adam Sandler and company in Grown Ups 2.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lautner will “make an appearance in a ‘fun’ role, in which he goes toe-to-toe with Sandler.”

Most of the cast, including Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek, is expected to return for the sequel to the 2010 comedy.

Grown Ups follows a group of childhood friends who reunite at their favorite summer getaway after their basketball coaches dies.

What “fun” role do you think Taylor Lautner will play?

  • Theaterboy1

Well it would be cool if he played a camp counselor (maybe a gay camp counselor lol). Any role would be good for him! :)

he would like that role too much

Why does this movie need a sequel?  The first one was bad enough.

      CAUTION: Sarcasm ahead

Maybe Taylor can make it better!

        hahaahhaahahaha!!!!

    • Jimmy Rose

The movie doesn’t need a sequel, but somebody probably needs some money or there is a contract to fulfill. None of the key actors returning from the first movie are “A” list, so they are likely looking for something to occupy time and create a paycheck. There’s also probably a movie exec out there who just can’t imagine that this cast could make a flop. There are a lot of poor notions out there in movieland.

As for Mr. Lautner, I hope his agent is steering him to the best scripts. It’s doubtful a flick like this one would be helpful to his career. *Abduction* was not a successful foray into action, and this most certainly will not be a successful foray into comedy.

Taylor is an earnest, handsome actor with some very good physical skill. He should take roles that make use of those characteristics, unless, of course, he has some acting chops that he’s yet to unleash on us.

One more reason NOT to watch the s***iest movie I ever had to sit through.

  • RussellTurner

No surprise there since ‘Abduction’ was such a huge hit -_-

How does he still get in films. Most people are saying how he can’t act.

haha he’s the worst actor of this generation… I’ knew razzie record winner Adam Sandler, would be the one to pick him up haha.

Why would any network do this to themselves!

  • Kelly Barker

UGH! Why does EVERYTHING have to have a sequel nowadays?

  • 7Starrchasers

this is what happens when people get lucky…he’s not a star cause of his talent..he was merely at the right place at the right time.

    • FlamingC

It’s not even in production yet, how do you love a movie that doesn’t exist?

Lol jk I know what you meant :P

    • Mary

Me too! It had me laughing so hard! I don’t see why everyone hated it :)

  • FlamingC
