Ubisoft has posted the official boxart for Assassin’s Creed 3, confirming earlier suspicions about the time period and protagonist of the game.

It has also been revealed the game will be Game Informer‘s April cover story.

You can check out the boxart for yourself below.

What do you think about Ubisoft’s choice for Assassin’s Creed next location?

American Revolution is one of my favourite periods in history so I’m super pumped :) It’s exactly where I thought it was going too, and it could still leave the possibility open for French Rev. as well. The only thing that’s worrying me is fitting in the free running as early-US architecture doesn’t exactly lend itself to ziplines and lifts… but still, super pumped.

I think they are gonna go in a different direction than traditional Creed for the Colonial America set parts. Its gonna be more about non urban environments and new kinds of gameplay in the native america woodlands

I’m now really excited for this game. I can’t wait to find out more about the new assassin.

Wow, that’s going to be awesome! It will be interesting to see if they can manage to incorporate pitched battles with British ranks vs. guerrilla minutemen. Maybe some of it will involve camp scenes a la Valley Forge? Maybe we’ll get into the whole Benedict Arnold thing? The storyline should be interesting.

the only thing i’m worried about is the architecture as its not as interesting as its european counterparts. SO EXCITED!

AWESOME. Absolutely love the time period. Can’t wait to save some children but not the British children.
