Darren Criss to duet with Kermit the Frog at pre-Oscar show

The Oscars are this weekend and none other than Darren Criss will be performing with the legendary Kermit the Frog during one network’s pre-show!

According to Zap2It, E! will be televising a pre-Oscar show that will feature Darren Criss performing with Kermit the Frog!

“…the Countdown show will feature: three very special guest hosts including Selita Ebanks, Kristin Cavallari and Sarah Hyland; the only performance by Kermit the Frog that day as he performs ‘Rainbow Connection’ with ‘Glee’s' Darren Criss in celebration of the Oscar-nominated song ‘Man or Muppet’ from ‘The Muppet Movie,’”

The pre-show will happen all day this Sunday, February 24th on E! This performance has not been given a specific time.

We’re big fans of both Darren and Kermit here at Hypable, so we’re particularly excited about this performance.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! I can’t imagine how Darren must be feeling about this. I remember hearing him sing a little bit of Rainbow Connection in one of Bonnie’s videos a few years ago and wishing I’d heard more of it. He’s sung it a few times at some venues and I’m just STOKED he’s going to be singing with Kermit. Actually, I’m a bit jealous. (First Miss Piggy with Tom Hiddleston and now Kermit with Darren… I’m in a Muppet tizzy!)

I know he loves The Muppets, so I can’t even BEGIN to imagine how he feels. Let alone him performing at the pre-Oscar show! He’s come so far, and I can’t wait for the day where he finally wins an Oscar, because it is an inevitability. <3 :') So proud of our boy!
