Between all of the various rumors and insinuations, it’s hard to know exactly when The Mortal Instruments will finally begin filming on the first installment – which features Lily Collins as Clary Fray and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland. However, there’s some indication that August of this year might just be the time.
Screenwriter Marlene King noted on Twitter that rumor has it, City of Bones will begin shooting this August (“but that is a rumor”).
Considering the source, though, it’s a much more reliable rumor than most! We shall see!
