We reported back in July about a little known low-resolution image of The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man, and now a single piece of concept art has hit the web.

Although the origin of the source seems pretty sketchy, the image has Spider-Man fans the world over wondering if it is the real deal and if the differences in appearance from the low-resolution images of the beast are just different stages of Dr. Conner’s transformation.

Here’s the image below, from a Russian website called Spidermedia (CBM)

So what do you think? In comparison to these photos from a few months ago, which incarnation do you prefer?

I wonder about the credibility of this pic, as it doesn’t look very….Lizard-like. I don’t know how they’ll choose to represent the Lizard, but this shouldn’t be it. I don’t like it.

      mid transformation

This does look just like the PEZ dispenser so it would make sense. This one also looks much better.

Weren’t there some blurry photos of The Lizard a long while back?  It looked to me as though that Lizard’s face was more elongated.  So I agree: this/the Pez dispenser must be mid-transformation.  I like the elongated/more lizardy look better (though if you look at the original comics from the ’60s, The Lizard’s face kind of looks like a turtle)
