Zachary Quinto is heading to AMC where he’ll be starring in a brand new supernatural horror series.

In a press release sent out on Thursday (September 13), AMC revealed that actors Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings (The Goldfinch) will officially lead the cast of a brand new supernatural horror series coming soon to the network.

The new show currently has a working title of NOS4A2 and is based off of writer Joe Hill’s best selling novel of the same name.

Quinto will play a character named Charlie Manx in the forthcoming series, an immortal who feeds off the souls of children. After he’s done so, he deposits whatever’s left of his victims into Christmasland — a place described as “an icy, twisted Christmas Village” where every day is Christmas Day and it’s forbidden to be unhappy.

Meanwhile, Cummings will play a character named Vic McQueen, a working-class artist who suddenly finds herself with the supernatural ability to track Manx. Once she discovers her ability, she vows to defeat Manx and rescue his victims, but the task will be easier said than done.

Other cast members who have previously joined the series include Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Virginia Kull, and Jahkara Smith.

Hill will serve as executive producer on the adaptation of his novel alongside Fear The Walking Dead vet Jami O’Brien, who will also serve as showrunner on the series. Additionally, Kari Skogland (The Handmaid’s Tale) is on board to direct the first two episodes of the show.

AMC has currently ordered 10 one-hour episodes of the series, and production on the series started earlier this week in Rhode Island.

NOS4A2 is set to premiere sometime in 2019.
