Zachary Levi, former Chuck star and geek extraordinaire, will be hosting a game show on Syfy aptly titled Geeks Who Drink.

Through his production banner The Nerd Machine (and that really tells you everything you need to know), Zachary Levi is set to executively produce and host a fresh new game show for Syfy.

Geeks Who Drink is the televised version of the pub trivia contest of the same name, in which two teams of three “trivia geeks” (a celebrity team captain and two hardcore geeks) are pitted against each other for three rounds of rapid-fire quiz sessions.

You can expect all the questions to be “nerd”-themed, covering everything from comic books, fantasy and sci-fi to more general pop culture topics.

You can also expect that all of us here at Hypable will probably be signing on to compete!

“To be the executive producer and host of Geeks Who Drink is an exciting opportunity to broaden my experience on both sides of the camera,” Levi says in a statement. “Geeks Who Drink is such a fresh take on the game show genre, and something that we at the Nerd Machine believe will resonate with everyone who loves trivia and pop culture.”

Syfy’s VP of alternative programming Heather Olander adds, “Not only is Zachary a spectacular talent both in front of and behind the camera, he lives and breathes geekdom and is a true pioneer in bringing the nerd community together.”

“As executive producer and host of this series, Zachary has the unparalleled ability to introduce the beloved bar game to the masses, inviting viewers at home to experience the infectious joy of the game for themselves.”

The Geeks Who Drink game show will premiere on Syfy on July 16, 2015.

Zachary Levi will also star in NBC’s Heroes Reborn miniseries, which begins airing later this year.
