Young Sheldon fans can rest easy knowing the CBS sitcom isn’t going anywhere.

According to Digital Spy, CBS has given Young Sheldon an early renewal.

The network hasn’t just ordered a third season of the hit Big Bang Theory spinoff. They’ve actually renewed the series for a fourth season as well, meaning you can expect to see Young Sheldon on CBS’ television slate through the 2020-2021 season.

The fact that CBS is going all-in on Young Sheldon shouldn’t come as too much of a shock.

The spinoff has been dominating in the ratings since it premiered, with the pilot raking in a whopping 17.2 million views. Currently, the series is bringing in an average of about 11 million views per week.

In a statement announcing the renewal, president of CBS Entertainment Kelly Khal said: “Thanks to Chuck Lorre’s and Steve Molaro’s outstanding creative leadership, Young Sheldon has been a powerful performer for the network with an audience that towers over most of the television landscape.”

In addition, Thom Sherman, CBS’ executive vice president of programming, spoke of looking forward to bringing fans of the show more of what they’ve been enjoying.

“The Coopers are portrayed by an amazing cast, and we are looking forward to having the gifted writing staff mine even more of Sheldon’s hilarious backstory and the warm family dynamic that has made this comedy a favorite with audiences for the past two seasons,” said Sherman.

Young Sheldon airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS
