You will be back for a third season at Netflix, with season 2 stars Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti returning to wreak havoc in the name of love.

Get ready for more voiceovers, toxic relationships, and (probably) murder!

Netflix announced today that it has renewed everyone’s favorite show about a stalker/murderer for a third season.

This should come as no surprise to fans of the show, as season 2 of You garnered a large following thanks to its move from Lifetime to Netflix — though given that Netflix is notorious for cancelling shows two or three seasons in, there was always a chance that we’d never know what would happen to Joe and Love and their “love.”

However, not knowing what happens next is another fear for another day and another season’s end, as now fans can rejoice in the fact that they’ll be seeing more of Joe and Love in You season 3.

According to Entertainment Weekly, You season 3 will feature 10 new episodes from executive producers Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti. Both Penn Badgley and season 2 addition Victoria Pedretti will reprise their roles as Joe and Love.

You seasons 1 and 2 were based on the books YOU and Hidden Bodies from author Caroline Kepnes. Kepnes is currently in the midst of finishing up a third book, and it’s unknown how much the show will — or even will be able to — follow it given some major changes that have been made in the transition from book to TV show.

However, showrunner Sera Gamble stated in an interview that the show has a lot left to explore for season 3.

Prior to the show’s renewal, Gamble stated that they “wrote [the finale] hoping that we will get the opportunity to tell more story because we’re really excited with the seeds planted at the end of season 2.”

Can’t wait to see what twisted things those seeds grow into!

The new season of You is set to premiere sometime in 2021.
