The X-Men: First Class sequel has been confirmed to be titled X-Men: Days of Future Past by producer Bryan Singer.

“It’s going to be very ambitious… It deals with aspects of that comic, but also some new things,” said Singer. The story will revolve around the 1981 comic that saw a future version of Kitty Pryde, where she attempts to prevent the murder of Senator Robert Kelly.

This story was also the first time we got a look at Cyclops and Phoenix’s alternate reality daughter, Rachel Grey.

You may remember that there were some conflicting schedules for X-Men: First Class actor Jennifer Lawrence after The Hunger Games became a global hit due to her already signing a deal to be in X-Men: Days of Future Past. This resulted in director Gary Ross leaving The Hunger Games franchise.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18, 2014. What do you think of the new title? Anyone excited about the idea of time travel potentially being used?
