Part of X-Men: Days of Future Past’s script has been leaked and the excerpt spoils one key mutant’s death.

There’s sure to be many deaths in X-Men: Days of Future Past, as director Bryan Singer has free license to kill off and bring back as many mutants as he chooses since the film will deal with time travel.

Now an excerpt from the film’s script has reportedly leaked and revealed that a fan favorite X-Men character will meet his demise. Check out the leaked script excerpt below to find out who may be dying in the X-Men sequel. Obvious spoilers:

Update: Script excerpt removed at the request of the studio.

Colossus has been featured in many of the X-Men films. Colossus has a very small cameo as a student drawing in the Xavier Institute’s courtyard in the original X-Men film. He would later be played by actor Daniel Cudmore in 2003’s X2: X-Men United.

Fans may remember that he helps save several of the younger mutants when their school is under attack by Stryker. Colossus tells Wolverine he can help him, but Wolverine says, “No, help them.”

Colossus bangs on the hidden wall, which opens up an escape hatch to an underground exit from the mansion.

Daniel Cudmore would reprise his role as Colossus in X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006. He didn’t have a major role, but showed up in a few scenes featuring the Danger Room at the beginning of the film and then took part in the final battle on Alcatraz Island.

Cudmore will be playing Colossus in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it looks as though his character may meet his demise after attempting to destroy one of the Sentinels that are being introduced by actor Peter Dinklage’s character Bolivar Trask.

Bryan Singer recently stated that while there is a “great deal of humor, the overall tone is a bit darker than previous films, particularly because of the stakes.” We imagine a few deaths will take place in the film and possibly be reversed by the time travel aspects.

X-Men: Days of Future Past’s release date is set for May 23, 2014. The film stars returning actors Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender. Also rejoining the X-Men franchise are Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, James Marsden, Ellen Page, and Hugh Jackman. Fan Favorite Peter Dinklage will be playing a major villain.
