The X-Men: Days of Future Past — The Rogue Cut will be released July 14, and the studio has released a new still showing Rogue standing beside someone she’s had a rocky past with.

The extended cut of the film will be released on July 14 in the U.S., but it will also be shown during San Diego Comic-Con this year as well. It’s grown to have a life of its own for some reason, we have to assume there’s just a lot of Rogue fans out there in the X-Men fandom.

The new cut of the movie will reportedly add 17 minutes of extra footage, which includes the Rogue (Anna Paquin) storyline that was cut from the original theatrical release. The new image shows Rogue and “old” Magneto standing at the door which the Sentinels finally break through. Check out the new image below:

This image shows us a scene where Rogue takes over mind altering duties for Kitty, after she is injured by Wolverine when he’s swinging his claws around and accidentally cuts her. Rogue apparently takes Kitty’s powers from her shorty, and controls Logan’s mind while Kitty gets bandaged up.

It will be an interesting scene, and hopefully we’ll get even more Rogue moments since it’s supposed to add around 17 minutes of Rogue footage, while the extended edition will actually include 90-minutes of never before seen bonus features as well.

It appears as though the extended edition won’t be just about adding some Rogue scenes back into the film, which is exciting, as Days of Future Past had some pretty interesting subplots and storylines, so we’ll be interested to find out what will be included.

X-Men: Days of Future Past’s extended edition will be released on July 14, 2015.
