X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut’s latest clip doesn’t feature Rogue, but does show Jennifer Lawrence having a passionate scene with Nicholas Hoult.

In the extended cut’s latest clip, we see Mystique and Beast kissing at the mansion. By the dialogue it seems that it would have happened after she was shot in Paris. Watch the new Rogue Cut clip below:

While it’s nice to see the film touch on the love story between Mystique and Beast, this clip seems like it was wise to be cut from the final film.

Nicholas Hoult seemed to agree, when he revealed in an interview that he wondered, “Why [they] would be here when the world’s about to end and then we’ve nipped home quickly to have a good night’s sleep. So everyone was like, ‘Well, we can’t really do that.’”

We’d have to agree that it would have slowed the film down after what took place in Paris, as the film starts to move along quite quickly once Mystique is injured.

Hopefully we’ll get even more Rogue moments since it’s supposed to add around 17 minutes of Rogue footage, while the extended edition will actually include 90-minutes of never before seen bonus features as well.

This clip shows that the extended edition won’t be just about adding some Rogue scenes back into the film, which is exciting, as Days of Future Past had some pretty interesting subplots and storylines, so we’ll be interested to find out what else will be included.

X-Men: Days of Future Past’s extended edition will be released on July 14, 2015.
