The first official image of X-Men: Apocalypse’s villain has been released, along with new looks at Michael Fassbender as Magneto and Olivia Munn as Psylocke.

Fox might have been overshadowed a bit at Comic-Con, but their trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is the only one that hasn’t seen the light of day, at least officially, but now we have our first official look at Oscar Isaac as the film’s villain.

Update: The EW cover image for X-Men: Apocalypse has been released without the text in HD.

The EW issue also includes some other shots of characters, including Jennifer Lawrence as Raven and a few other new characters. The official images from EW have been released, check the exciting shots out below:

Apocalypse is an immortal mutant, who is a very power and reportedly the first mutant which all others have come from. He goes by many names, and he looks pretty interesting in the new images. It’s possible he’ll look very different once he’s up on the big screen though, as he probably won’t seem as bright blue as we’re seeing in official shots.

We’ve seen other official looks at a young Nightcrawler, who is being played by Kodi Smit-McPhee. X-Men: Apocalypse began filming April 27, and to start things off director Bryan Singer revealed our first look at the newly designed Nightcrawler, a character previously portrayed by Alan Cumming in the second X-Men movie, X2.

Some other images released gave off a very ’80s feel, with Sophie Turner and Lana Condor sporting some uniquely ’80s outfits. We’ve been very excited about Sophie playing young Jean Grey, as she’s mostly been seen in Game of Thrones, but she’s a very talented actress and Jean Grey is a vital character in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Many new actors have joined X-Men: Apocalypse as mutants, including Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel, and most recently Olivia Munn as Psylocke.

This new X-Men film will be chock-full of unique mutants, and we look forward to seeing the young cast tackle the baddest mutant to ever exist. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released May 27, 2016. The first trailer should be seen within the next few weeks, as director Bryan Singer stated the CGI was currently being worked on.
