Looks like the world is jumping on the movie-musical bandwagon, and we couldn’t be happier to report it.

According to THR (via Slashfilm), screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator and Hugo) has signed on to begin adapting the Tony-award winning musical. This isn’t Logan’s first foray into a musical adaptation, he also penned the script for Sweeney Todd, and is currently working on non-musicals like Spielberg’s Lincoln and the latest James Bond feature Skyfall.

It’s been a full year since the rights to the movie were bought for a seven figure price by GK Films, so how long do you think it will be before filming begins? Who would you choose to direct the movie-musical?
