The Mannequin Challenge is all the rage at the moment, and the cast and crew of A Wrinkle in Time used it to make a special announcement.

Destiny’s Child did the Mannequin Challenge, so you know it’s cool. Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time also accepted and flawlessly pulled off a video involving an incredible 102 people.

Can you imagine getting 102 people to freeze at the same time and pull off a video like this so flawlessly? Let alone doing it on a movie set! I hope it didn’t take them multiple takes, or they might have to reconsider their theatrical release date.

Speaking of which, the video is fun and all, but it also provides us with the film’s release date — April 6, 2018. That’s a little less than a year and a half away, which should be plenty of time to wrap up everything on set and give the film the time it needs in post-production.

I’m ecstatic about this A Wrinkle in Time adaptation for so many reasons, and Ava DuVernay herself is definitely one of them. Look how excited she is in the video!

On top of that, the cast for A Wrinkle in Time is fantastic. It includes Storm Reid in the leading role of Meg, as well as Oprah (Mrs. Which), Reese Witherspoon (Mrs. Whatsit), Mindy Kaling (Mrs. Who), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Mrs. Murry), Chris Pine (Mr. Murry), Michael Peña, and more.

The film went into production on November 3.
