Though a sequel hasn’t been confirmed by Disney yet, one can assume that Wreck-It Ralph‘s successful box office ($376 million worldwide) has the studio eager to jump back into Ralph’s world.

Recently director Rich Moore was asked which characters he’d like to see in a Wreck-It Ralph 2.

It turns out that Tron was one of the characters up for inclusion in the original movie which opened this past fall. As you know if you saw the movie, he wasn’t actually included. “I can’t specifically remember why that didn’t happen,” Moore said to Coming Soon. “…Of course, with a sequel, I’m hoping that we can find a way to see Tron himself in that movie.”

The site notes that Moore has also voiced interest in bringing Mario into the sequel. Bowser had a cameo in the first film, as did other classic video game characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, but they weren’t deeply involved in the storyline. Our guess is that Tron and Mario would not be crucial characters to the story either, but moviegoers would still enjoy seeing a cameo.

Wreck-It Ralph comes to DVD/Blu-ray on March 5. It includes deleted and alternate scenes, video game commercials, and a featurette. If you can’t wait until then, the digital download version of the film will be made available through services like iTunes and Amazon this Tuesday.
