World of Warcraft continues to see subscription numbers drop, though most MMO’s would still kill for the juggernaut’s “declining” player base.

Activison Blizzard reported yesterday that worldwide subscriptions have fallen from 11.4 million to 10.3 million since May. The company claims the majority of the decline comes from the Eastern markets.

“Our development team is constantly analyzing the game, and we’re continuing to explore ways that we can adjust the game to better satisfy both hard-core and casual players,” Blizzard CEO Michael Morhaime said.

The company recently announced a new expansion pack for the game, Mists of Pandaria, that they hope will help stop the decline. Mists of Pandaria is set to hit next year.
