One of the more intriguing films currently in development has got to be Seven Psychopaths, the upcoming film from In Bruges director Martin McDonagh. Deadline is reporting that Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games), Tom Waits (The Book of Eli), and Olga Kurylenko (Quantom of Solace) have joined the already impressive cast.

The film follows a screenwriter (Colin Farrell, In Bruges) suffering from writer’s block, who gets drawn into a dog-napping scheme by his two friends, played by Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Christopher Walken (Catch Me If You Can). When the dogs owner, a psychotic gangster (Woody Harrelson) seeks revenge, the screenwriter does all he can to stay alive.

These casting announcement comes just one day after Slashfilm announced Mickey Rourke had dropped out of the film over an alleged disagreement with McDonagh. At the moment the specific roles for Waits and Kurylenko are unknown, although we can expect more information on the film soon, as production recently began in Los Angeles.

Woody Harrelson is coming off filming the highly anticipated adaptation of The Hunger Games. Tom Waits has a wide variety of roles under his belt, ranging from Wristcutters: A Love Story and Domino, to The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus , and is also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Olga Kurylenko was the most recent Bond girl in Quantom of Solace, as well as starring in films such as Hitman and Max Payne.

Seven Psychopaths is being distributed by CBS Films, for a release sometime in 2012. Are you as excited for this film as we are?
