Warner Bros. has now also confirmed a release date, via The Hollywood Reporter: Wonder Woman 2 is slated to hit U.S. cinemas on December 13, 2019.

Gal Gadot will obviously reprise her role in the sequel, and we’re expecting that Jenkins will likewise return direct.

The movie is reportedly set during the 1980s — an unintentional bit of poetic irony, considering that Marvel’s Captain Marvel is set in the early 1990s — and rumor has it that they’re somehow going to bring back her love interest Steve, played by Chris Pine.

Gal Gadot will next appear as Wonder Woman in Justice League, which hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
