Rejoice, Wonder Woman 84 fans! The long-awaited sequel will premiere its first trailer this December during Brazil’s Comic Con Experience.

Let’s get the Wonder Woman 1984 hype train going!

After a quiet year at the stateside comic cons, Wonder Woman 84 will begin its media push this December at São Paulo, Brazil’s Comic Con Experience, or CCXP.

Director Patty Jenkins and Wonder Woman star herself Gal Gadot took to Twitter today to announce that they would be appearing at CCXP together, and bringing fans their first taste of the upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

The tweet was accompanied by a custom banner for the con, which you can check out below!

According to the official press release, Wonder Woman 1984 will close the show at this year’s Comic Con Experience, better known as CCXP, in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday, 8 December.

The Thunder Hall presentation will feature several firsts, including the film’s star, Gal Gadot, and director, Patty Jenkins, on hand to introduce the first-ever trailer for their upcoming film, due in theaters next June. And for the first time in the history of CCXP, the show will be livestreamed on Twitter, connecting the talent and the 3500 fans inside the venue to Wonder Woman fans around the world in real time.

What’s more, those in the room will be able to see tweets from around the world as they cascade live down a giant screen on the stage. The panel will also feature a Q&A and other big surprises as well.

We can assume that the big surprises will include a few more guests — perhaps Kristen Wiig, who plays Cheetah, or Chris Pine, who will be reprising his role as Steve Trevor from the first movie.

The press release also confirmed one interesting tidbit fans have been theorizing about since his casting was announced — it listed Pedro Pascal as Max(well) Lord.

One thing’s for sure — fans at CCXP are in for quite a treat, and so are all those of us who’ll be following along on the livestream!

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released on June 5, 2020.
