Rejoice, fans! Wonder Woman 2 is getting closer and closer, and the film is rumored to start filming in London this summer!

As Comicbook Reader reports, the Wonder Woman 2 will reportedly start filming summer ’18 in the Warner Brothers Studios in Leavesden. The original film was shot at this studio, as well as Justice League, The Dark Knight, and (of course) the Harry Potter films.

Wonder Woman 2 has been given a November 1, 2019 release date (it was originally set to release in December of 2019), so it’s exciting to see that shooting will be kicking up soon. Of course, apart from Gal Gadot reprising her role as Wonder Woman herself, Diana Prince, we don’t know who else will round out the cast (or even what era the film will take place in).

However, with the fan interest so high in this movie, it’s understandable that the details of the Wonder Woman sequel are pretty scarce. Director Patty Jenkins has given small bits of info, saying the sequel will be completely different from the original. Obviously, the heart of the movie will be the same, but Jenkins is considering Wonder Woman 2 more of a brand new adventure rather than a sequel.

There are also rumors of the sequel snagging an appearance by the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter. While nothing is official, Jenkins has been pretty forthcoming about her desire to include Carter in the film. Apparently, they even tried to get her in the original Wonder Woman film, but were unable to make shooting schedules work.

Hopefully Carter will have some time this summer to make her way up to England. It would be awesome to see her join in this new era of Wonder Woman!

We’ll continue to wait as patiently as we can for more info on Wonder Woman 2. But for now, it’s really exciting to see reports of set timeline to begin filming. We’re READY for more Diana in our lives!
