Marvel is working with Stitcher Premium to bring us a new podcast called Wolverine: The Long Night, and the first trailer for the series just launched.

Marvel is bringing us a new chapter in Wolverine’s story in an exciting new way, tapping into the power of podcasts. The medium has evolved heavily over the years, and more and more of us are getting scripted content from podcasts, just like old radio dramas.

Wolverine: The Long Night sounds like it is going to be an exciting, totally bingeable chapter in Wolverine’s story. Even better, the podcast boasts a pretty expert cast, with Richard Armitage voicing the titular mutant, and other cast members including Ato Essandoh, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Scott Adsit, Bob Balaban, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

You can listen to the podcast trailer on the official Wolverine podcast website. However, the basic plot focuses on a series of murders in the fictional town of Burns, Alaska. When the agents investigating the murder begin honing in on their prime suspect (who is, of course, Logan), they begin a tumultuous investigation of the underbelly of the corrupt town.

The trailer gives us a good glimpse into the feel of the podcast, and from the sound of the trailer, this is going to be a really engaging, new chapter into Logan’s story. And even though this is simply an audio drama, with such a talented cast, and the production power of Marvel behind it, this podcast will definitely make you feel like you’re right in the center of the action.

Wolverine: The Long Night will be a ten-episode podcast running exclusively on Stitcher Premium starting on March 12, 2018. However, if you can’t afford a Stitcher Premium membership right now, the show will launch on all podcast formats in the fall of 2018.
