We’ve been covering The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s expansion for over a year now. Quick catch up: Rumors state that a London area is being built which’ll include Gringotts bank, The Leaky Cauldron restaurant, and Diagon Alley.

Today we received photos that depict Gringotts’ windows and desks, eliminating any doubt that the rumors were true. They are our first physical evidence of the Gringotts plan.

We have it on good word that these are being construction for Wizarding World Orlando’s expansion. The photos show two elements: The floor-to-ceiling windows and bank teller desks which, as you can see in this photo taken on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, match Gringotts’ entrance:

UPDATE: At the request of the owner, the photos have been removed.

Gringotts as seen in the Deathly Hallows film:

Since there aren’t people in these photos, it’s hard to get an idea of the size of these desks and windows. Presumably they will be as large, or appear to be as large, as they are in the film. Gringotts is said to be holding a new thrill ride based on the bank break-in and escape seen in the book and film.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley is being constructed in Universal Studios, the park next to Islands of Adventure where the original Wizarding World resides. Rumors say a working Hogwarts Express will connect the two lands, allowing fans to take the train ride from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade. Since the lands are in separate parks, visitors will have to have tickets for both of Universal’s parks.

Universal has kept very quiet on the Wizarding World expansion other than confirming that one is indeed in the works. They’re likely holding off on announcing until as late as possible so that people aren’t deterred from visiting the current Wizarding World until the expansion opens. It is expected to open in 2014 or 2015.
