Star Trek vet William Shatner has signed on for a recurring role in the Syfy series Haven.

William Shatner doesn’t just keep himself busy by tweeting about CW dramas. The seasoned actor will be appearing on Haven for a four-episode arc set to “forever impact” the series.

Deadline reports Shatner’s casting, writing that he’ll be playing, “A pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of the town of Haven and its troubled residents.”

The series is based on Steven King’s The Colorado Kid, and is in the middle of its fifth season. The midseason finale is set to air December 5, and Shatner will appear somewhere in the second half of the season.

Shatner himself (kind of) commented on this news via Twitter, by re-tweeting an imaginative piece of fan art (we kind of wished they’d used the Vulcan salute instead):

William Shatner’s last TV appearance was Hot in Cleveland in 2013. He starred in the short-lived $#*! My Dad Says from 2010-2011, and previously played one of the leads in Boston Legal.

Haven takes place in a small town by the same name. Former FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) arrives as the new cop in town, and soon begins to unravel the place’s many secrets. The series also stars Lucas Bryant, Eric Balfour, John Dunsworth and more.
