Jennifer Lopez is set to guest star on the Will & Grace revival, and she’ll be taking on two roles this time!
Fans of the original Will & Grace series will remember that Lopez already did a multi-episode arc on the show. She played herself, sang at Karen’s wedding to Lionel Finster, and hired Jack as a dancer for her tour.

While it’s fun that Lopez will connect with the gang again, she won’t just be playing herself this time. In the most unlikely crossover event ever, she’ll be playing her Shades of Blue character, NYPD detective Harlee Santos as well.
Lopez’s return makes sense. She had great chemistry with the cast, and she and Jack had quite a friendship while they were touring together. It will be fun to watch the two of them pick up where they left off back in the early aughts!
However, it’s not clear why she’ll be playing Harlee Santos as well (apart from the twin gags that you know are bound to happen). Is a crime committed in Will, Grace, and Jack’s building? Is Karen in trouble with the law? Does Harlee’s NYPD-filled appearance mean we’ll get to see Vince again soon (oh please say yes)?
We’ll have to wait for the episode to see the full story. Unfortunately, we don’t have an air date for Lopez’s appearance just yet. However, the show is back from winter hiatus, so we can hope the episode airs soon! We adore how many well-loved characters the show has brought back, and we can’t wait to see how Lopez’s fun, dual-role return to the show plays out!
