The controller for Nintendo’s Wii U may have undergone a slight redesign if leaked photos are anything to go by.

A QA tester tweeted a photo of the console’s controller earlier today, seen above. The photo has since been deleted, but Game Informer managed to grab it before it went down.

The biggest change to the controller compared to the design shown off at last year’s reveal, is the inclusion of actual analog sticks instead of circle-pads. There are also slight changes like a change in position of the + and – buttons.

A photo of the initial design can be seen below for comparison’s sake.

Keep in mind this could be just a developer’s unit that may be different from the final retail product. Nintendo has confirmed they will reveal the system in its final form at this year’s E3.

Do you think the addition of actual analog sticks would improve the Wii U design?
