It’s no secret that Nolan of Revenge has developed somewhat of a cult following. His witty repartee with Emily and his incredible computer skills have made him a fan favorite.

We know Nolan Ross as the man who David Clarke took a chance with so many years ago and invested in this young man’s company, Nolcorp. And boy, did that investment pay off. Not only did it leave Nolan indebted to Clarke for his faith in a kid that no one else took seriously, but it also makes David Clarke’s daughter part-owner of the company, which has made Emily (formerly Amanda) quite wealthy.

Nolan is misunderstood by so many people, and he doesn’t quite know how to interact with the high society he now finds himself a part of. This is one of the things that make him such an endearing character.

From what we’ve seen, we know that Nolan is a good guy. He even serves to bring Emily down a little bit when she gets too caught in her revenge-scheming. Though she doesn’t always heed his warnings.

He is always there for Emily. He doesn’t have any family of his own (aside from his aunt Caroline, who is in hiding from Grayson Global), so he depends on Emily to play that role. Emily is right there with Nolan – she has no one to rely on, and Nolan is the only one who knows her true self and true motives.

Even when Emily’s plots are getting Nolan in trouble (or beaten up), he is still willing to do anything to help her out. Nolan’s devotion to Emily makes us like her more, because sometimes she can get a little intense.

Then there are his Nolan-isms. We expect them, and while sometimes cheesy, we still love them. The way he tells Emily that she’s sounding “revengey,” and his continual quickness to lighten the mood with a crack about the situation.
