With the recent and not so appreciated casting process in The Fault In Our Stars, many fans have already lost hope in this film. Of course the film may be a complete box office flop, but it has great potential.

Shailene Woodley is great actress, even if you don’t think so.

Of course, hardcore book fans have refused to accepted the casting of Shailene Woodley as the book’s main character Hazel. With her mediocre roles in The Secret Life of the American Teenager, you may think she’s a terrible actress. What many fans forget to think about is her role in The Descendants as Alexandra King. Shailene did an amazing job in this film and received immense recognition for it. The actress also racked up a few Best Supporting Actress nominations and awards for her role, including a Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe nominations.

As for her romantic counterpart in the film Augusts Waters, played by Ansel Elgort, he does not have many movies on his slate, but I’m sure Shailene and he have already connected on set of their film Divergent. Before Divergent, you can catch Ansel Elgort in the October release of Carrie.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber wrote the screenplay.

If you haven’t heard of these two writers, you probably have heard of or seen their stunning film (500) Days of Summer. (500) Days of Summer tells the story of a man and a woman falling in love, similar to the storyline of The Fault in Our Stars. The writing duet also worked with Shailene in the upcoming film The Spectacular Now which is receiving very good reviews so far and hits theaters August 2.

Of course, I’ve only presented you two reasons why The Fault in Our Stars will be a great movie, but there are tons more. If you haven’t already, I would say there are a few things you should do before watching The Fault in Our Stars. Check out Shailene and Ansel in Divergent. The two play each others brother and sister, so I’m sure you’ll get a feel for their chemistry. Also check out (500) Days of Summer and The Descendants if you haven’t already.

The Fault in Our Stars begins filming on August 26 and may be released in 2015.
