In the Arrow season finale, multiple characters were killed off. The question is, does that necessarily mean they won’t be back? *Spoilers*

It’s probably fair to say that in the season finale of Arrow, viewers were lead to believe that the entire Merlyn clan met their untimely end.

Many might have shed a tear for Tommy, the playboy turned reluctant hero trying to do the right thing, played by Colin Donnell. On the other hand, was anyone upset about his father Malcolm Merlyn, A.K.A. The Dark Archer, played by John Barrowman?

Malcolm had just about as many redeeming qualities as a homicidal, power-hungry, lunatic. If viewers felt bad, it was because actor John Barrowman was leaving the show. Then again, maybe he is coming back, we know he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

An article out today on JS Online, centered on John and Carole Barrowman’s latest novel in the Hollow Earth trilogy called Bone Quill, divulged some interesting details about John Barrowman coming to the Milwaukee area where Carole lives for a signing. The article cited an email from Carole Barrowman that stated:

Carole said in an email that she and John will probably schedule a local public appearance for the book in the fall, because they have to work around John’s shooting schedule for “Arrow.”

Assuming Carole Barrowman actually has reliable about her brother’s schedule, it would seem that he’s going to be shooting more Arrow episodes, and therefore not be immediately available for personal appearances. The question is will those episodes be flashback episodes, or will the Dark Archer rise again?

John Barrowman has also signed on to host a celebrity, reality show for ABC called Sing Your Face Off, and a UK Game Show called Pressure Pad.

Do you want the Dark Archer to have survived, or do you wants flashbacks?
