One of the biggest musical acts in the world hasn’t exactly had a great first 5 months of 2013. We’re just wondering: is Lady Gaga okay?

Earlier this year, to the chagrin of Little Monsters all over the world, Lady Gaga was forced to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball shows due to injury, which included a majority of the North American dates. If that weren’t enough to cause a dismal start to 2013, she then had to have immediate hip surgery only days after canceling the tour.

Since then, Lady Gaga has taken a back seat in regards to being in the public eye. Known for her social media presence, and being one of the most followed people in the world, Gaga didn’t send a single tweet out in the month of May. In fact, her last tweet was a link to a photo celebrating the birthday of the Born This Way Ball.

So, we have to ask…has anyone checked in on Lady Gaga lately? Is she okay?

Rumors were starting to buzz regarding her highly-anticipated next album ARTPOP (which apparently will be released as an app) before she took this very long hiatus, essentially ceasing all interest and excitement.

Lady Gaga fan site GagaDaily.com, which is usually on top of all things Lady Gaga, has even been at a loss for content in recent weeks as the pop star seems to be taking a break from checking in with fans and the public.

Two years ago, Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way sold 1 million units in its first week, breaking music industry records in the process. She was on track to have a very successful cycle with her second studio album. Who would have thought that only 2 years later she would be struggling to get back on her feet in both the literal and figurative sense?

Either way, we wish Lady Gaga the best and hope she finds her way back to the studio and to the stage.

Do you miss Lady Gaga’s music? What are your thoughts about the pop stars recent struggles both personally and professionally?
